FIELD UPDATE: 8 MORE CHILDREN’S HOMES

Through the generosity of South Asian ministry partners, LFTI has launched 8 additional facilities to handle the increase in children coming through the 6-month transition program before going home with their adoptive families. While the spaces were donated, the ongoing expenses to care for the additional children is significant.

The global need to care for kids rescued from trafficking is far greater than what one organization can do alone. LFTI is grateful for South Asian donor support that allows this gradual expansion.

Please note: To protect the children and team, the photo above is a representation of an LFTI children’s home.

LANTERN GALA: ANIK’S TRANSFORMATION

More than 430 people came together at the Lantern Gala on May 10 and raised a total of $265,451 to care for 191 trafficked children! South Asia Director Sam Kumar shared the story of Anik, a young boy rescued from a South Asian brothel and brought into LFTI’s care many years ago.

In LFTI’s program, Anik excelled at school and discovered a love of learning. His adoptive family enjoyed helping him study and supported his education.

Today, Anik is a young adult. He completed his Master’s degree and works as the manager of an international airport! Thank you to every person praying for and supporting Life for the Innocent to make transformations like these possible.
