During the Virtual Gala on April 22, LFTI shared the story of a woman named Rashmi, who was rescued from a brothel as a child. Please read Rashmi’s words to see the impact of your support over a child’s lifetime:

Describe how you felt being in the LFTI home:

“Just us being out of the brothel and alive and in the home was so safe…the counseling, the prayer and Bible studies, it really helped.

Tell us about your adoptive parents:

My adoptive parents were the best gifts ever given to me. I had difficulty at first as my birth parents neglected me and my uncle sold me for money. But my adoptive parents showed so much love, they sent me to school, and I got my MBA – they believed in me and gave me a future.

Please share about what you are doing now:

Today I am married, I have a daughter, I run an electronics service center and a clothing store. I come across girls who were in the same work as I was, trading themselves. I ask them to work in my business so they don’t have to be abused again. So far 31 girls have worked with me, and not one has gone back.

I know how it is to be beaten, neglected, called names, abused and yet God sent people like you to restore my life. Because my life is restored, I have a hope. Those who understand the pain will take care of the wounded. That’s why I’m doing this – for them.” – Rashmi

Because of the LFTI family’s generosity, children like Rashmi can safely begin their healing journeys and have a lifetime of support through their adoptive parents.

Make a special gift today to invest the lives and futures of boys and girls like Rashmi.
